Satterlee, Satterley, Satterly, Soterley and Related Families Genealogy

The Family Genealogy database first appeared on Satterlee.org on February 27, 2002. We realize that the database is far from comprehensive. We hope to expand this information on a regular basis. Please check the bottom of this page for the latest revision date.

The information in this section of Satterlee.org has been submitted by several individual researchers.

We welcome the inclusion of your branch of the family. We ask for no assignment of copyright and make NO ownership claims to the material submitted. When you submit the information, however, you are giving Satterlee.org the permission to use it.

If you would like to participate send your GEDCOM file. GEDCOM is an acronym for GEnealogical Data COMmunication. It is a common file format used to exchange computerized genealogical data between different genealogy programs. Most genealogical programs have the capability to create a GEDCOM file. See your program's HELP file if you are unsure about how to do this. There are free and low cost programs available for your use, if you do not have one (see the link at the bottom of this page for the one that we use).

Before submitting your GEDCOM file, we request that you use your software to indicate whether an individual is living or deceased. Some people object (very strongly) to having their personal information published online. We will gladly honor requests to remove information on living persons.

To submit your GEDCOM file, , providing the following:

Your contact name and email address. You may also provide a snail mail address and telephone number if you wish.
A description of who or how this information connects to what is already on the site -- to what name currently on the site should your information be connected? If we don't have this information yet, we will attempt to fill in the blanks.
Remember to attach the GEDCOM file to the e-mail.
Your information will be added as soon as we are able to do so.

Important Note on Revisions and Changes:

If you want to update any information that you have submitted, please send a new GEDCOM file.

If you find an error in any of the information presented, please let us know; we make every attempt to present accurate information. Please keep in mind, though, that this is the work of several researchers. If you think you have found an error, please provide a source that can verify the correct information. Send this in an e-mail to familytree@satterlee.org.

Unfortunately at this time, Satterlee.org cannot provide the GEDCOM file it uses. We hope to be able to do so soon and will place it on the site when we are able to do so.
