1. Benedict was one of the first 40 settlers of Wyoming, Pennsylvania. He held a commission as lieutenant in the French and Indian Wars.
"Stonington 5 Dec 1772, then rec'd of Samuel Satterlee, son to Lieut. Benedict Satterlee, eighteen schillings,
lawful money for his admission into the company of military adventurers, for his Father's Right. He his father having
given & granted his Right as Lieut. in the late war - to his said son, & I promised to have his name enrolled in said company's book."
"I am Giles Russell, one of the receivers of said company."Benedict married Elizabeth Crary, daughter of John Crary Judge and Prudence (Hayward?) White, on 16 Jan 1739. (Elizabeth Crary was born on 26 Dec 1717 in Plainfield, Windham County, CT and died before 1758.)
Benedict also married Rachel Park, daughter of William Park Jr and Christobel Harris, on 16 May 1758. (Rachel Park was born on 5 Oct 1730 and died on 23 Feb 1771.)
