Rhode Island Volunteers, Volume 14 p. 56. Gideon Satterlee appears on the roll of the Rhode Island Company as a corporal in the expedition against Havana in 1762 under Admiral Pocock and Lord Albermaris, also under Capt. Russell. "Corpril" Calib Bentley (brother to Ruth Bentley, wife of Gideon) was in the same company.
Gideon married Ruth Bentley, daughter of George Bentley and Ruth Barber, on 3 Jan 1764 in Stonington, Connecticut, USA. (Ruth Bentley was born about 1744 in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island (North America) and died in Easton Town, Washington County, New York, USA.)
