1. Obituary. Mrs. Gertrude Stahlman, of Emlenton, died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 1952, in the Grove City General Hospital from complications rising from diabetes. She had been taken to the hospital on September 18.
She was the daughter of the late James W. and Mary (Stewart) McManigle and spent her early years in Jefferson county. She was born near Falls Creek on November 19, 1885, being 66 years, 10 months and 25 days of age at the time of her death.
She was married to Guy R. Stahlman at Salamance, N.Y., on April 18, 1907, by Rev. Kilsey T. Jaquay. To this union one son was born.
She is survived by her husband, her son, J. Reed Stahlman, three grandsons, Robert D. Stahlman in the U.S. Air Force Stationed in Germany; James R. Stahlman in the U.S. Navy at Corpus Christi, Tex., and Leland D. Stahlman at Fort Union Military Academy, Fort Union, VA. Also one sister, Mrs. J. M. Saterlee, Reynoldsville, survives. Mrs. Stahlman spent the past 25 years near Emlenton.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. T.D. Imbrie at the Criswell Funeral Chapel, Friday, October 17, at 2:30 p.m. Interment was in the Emlenton Cemetery.
