Levi Holden Prosser, enlisted 15-July-1862, in Co 18, of the 19th Iowa Volunteers, & served as a Chaplain for 13 months before his death in Vicksburg, Miss. He is buried at Jamestown, Chautauqua Co., N.Y.
Levi married Mar Elizabeth Eager, daughter of Lewis Eager and Mary Whitmarsh, on 6 Jul 1858 in Farmington, Van Buren County, IA. (Mar Elizabeth Eager was born on 9 Apr 1837 in Kirkland, Geauga County, Iowa and died on 29 Jul 1914 in Wheaton, DuPage County, Illinois.)
