Obituary; Dec 1991. Helen Milliron Satterlee of 121 Pine Street, Brookville, died Friday, December 13, 1991 at the Jefferson Manor where she had been a guest. She was 86 years of age.
Mrs. Satterlee was born in Brookville on June 1, 1905. She was the daughter of John S. and Emma C. (Cable) Emerick. She first married Lee J. Milliron in 1928. Mr. Milliron preceded his wife in death in 1969. She married Carl B. Satterlee in 1973. Mr. Satterlee died in 1979.
Mrs. Satterlee was a retired teacher who taught in Brookville and Punxsutawney for 30 years. She was a member of the Dorcus Sunday School Class and the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Lewis G. Milliron of Greenville and Howard D. Milliron of Cincinnati, Ohio, two grandchildren and a brother, Harvey Emerick of Emerickville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 15 at the Galbraith-McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville with the Rev. Bernard L. Shuey officiating. Interment was in the St. John's Windy Hill Cemetery in Rose Township.
The family suggest memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Brookville.
Helen married Carl Berton Satterlee, son of James Morrow Satterlee and Nettie Almira McManigle, on 15 Aug 1970 in Brookville, Jefferson County, PA. (Carl Berton Satterlee was born on 6 Dec 1908 in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County, PA, died on 28 Apr 1983 in Brookville, Jefferson County, PA and was buried in Temple Cemetery, Hazen, Jefferson County, PA.)
