Fox Satterlee, newspaper: The Punxsutawney Spirit, 1969 Funeral services will be held in Brookville tomorrow for Mrs. Anna C. Satterlee, 63 of Reynoldsville R.D. 1 who died Tuesday in her home. She was a former nurse who served for 23 years as school nurse in Huston Township, Kersey, Pa. A graduate of the St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, she was a nurse at various times in the hospital in DuBois, Punxsutawney, and other district communities. She was a member of the Hazen Methodist Church, the ladies auxiliary of the FO Eagles, the Valley Grange and Eastern Star. She attended the DuBois Business College, Clarion State College and was graduated form Reynoldsville High School. She was born May 10 1906 in Winslow Township, a daughter of S. Franklin and Carrie Beatty Fox and in 1926 was married to Carl B. Satterlee. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons and two daughters, Carl B. Jr., of Philadelphia; Mrs. Anna Clair Reed and Mrs. Mary Adcock of Aliquippa, and William J. Satterlee of Holidaysburg. She leaves also 18 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a brother, Christian Fox, of Akron, O. Services will be held in the Galbraith Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Duane Johnson will officiate and interment will be in the Temple Cemetery at Hazen.
Anna married Carl Berton Satterlee, son of James Morrow Satterlee and Nettie Almira McManigle, on 17 Oct 1926 in Brockport, Elk County, PA.
