Jonathon Barton satterlee's parents brought him to Nunda, Livingston County, NY at age 14 years in 1823. He lived there 70 years, making him the oldest resident in the village. He was a carriage maker and the oldest member of the Masonic Lodge. He operated a planing and sawmill as did his father.His mill building became a part of the Nunda Lumber and Hardware Store.
Jonathan married Elizabeth Miller. (Elizabeth Miller was born in 1838 and died on 6 Apr 1901.)
Jonathan also married Sarah Eliza (Newcomb) Shattuck on 17 Oct 1842 in Warrensburg, NY. (Sarah Eliza (Newcomb) Shattuck was born on 3 Jul 1817 in Bridgewater, NY, died on 5 Nov 1879 in Nunda, Livingston County, NY and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery.)
