John Satterlee, 1745-1829, served as Corporal in Capt. Abel Tanner's Co., under Col. George Thurston's Regiment of Connecticutt. He also served in the Continental Army under Capt. McGregor. In 1833 his wife, Hannah, was receiveing a pension.
John married Hannah Hyde, daughter of John Hyde and Hannah Sarah Stewart, on 27 Jul 1774 in Hopkinton, Bristol County, Rhode Island, USA. (Hannah Hyde was born in 1753 and died in 1841 in Canajoharie, Montgomery County, New York.)
